*An orthodontist is someone who first becomes a dentist which requires four years of college followed by four years of dental school, and then attends three more years of school specifically dedicated to the practice of orthodontics.

With a very keen eye for the aesthetics of the human face, Dr. Schack, during his training at Harvard, also conducted research examining the relationship between discreet changes in facial proportions with perceived personality traits. His fascination with the dramatic, positive effect of nicely aligned teeth, positioned harmoniously in the face inspires him in his career as an orthodontist.

Prior to attending Harvard, Dr. Schack earned his doctorate degree in Dentistry from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he served as class president for all four years and received numerous awards upon graduation, including the prestigious Pierre Fouchard Award, the TMJ and Facial Pain Award, the American College of Dentistry Award, and the OKU research award. Dr. Schack also received his undergraduate degree at Tufts University.

Dr. Schack is currently a member of many dental and orthodontic clubs and societies.  He is an attending orthodontist at the St. Barnabas Hospital and Union Health Care Center where he teaches residents in their highly esteemed orthodontic and pediatric dentistry programs.
