Older children, about 10 and over, are usually ready for an orthodontic evaluation. At this stage, it can be determined whether or not they need orthodontic treatment, and, if they do, it's usually time to begin.
Everyone develops at a different rate, so these ages are just general guidelines. Sometimes, for instance, a 9 year old child has the teeth of a typical 12 year old. Similarly, there are 15 year olds who have the dental development of a 10 year old.

Adults. We love adults here at the office! As you know, orthodontics isn’t just for kids anymore. Tooth alignment can be changed at any age. We offer a variety of treatments that are designed for different age groups – including adults. A new smile can begin today.
Orthodontic treatment at later stages in life can dramatically improve your personal appearance and self-esteem. For example, many adults shy away from smiling in pictures because one of their teeth is in the shadows.
Improving the health of your teeth and gums is equally important. Crooked teeth and a bad bite can contribute to gum and bone loss, tooth decay, and abnormal wear and chipping of the tooth enamel and surfaces.

Good news! The new techniques and appliances we use greatly reduce discomfort levels, decrease the frequency of visits, shorten total treatment time and may allow you to choose from several options. Your options may include transparent aligners (Invisalign), metal braces, or clear braces. We also do bleaching.
During the initial examination, we will be able to determine the best possible treatment for your individual needs and goals. During this initial examination, we can outline the treatment plan, time of treatment expected and the approximate cost.
A significant percentage of our patients are adults, and they agree that it’s never too late to improve their greatest asset – their smile.
